Terms of Service

1. Accepting these terms

By using LearnYard — browsing the courses, signing in, or buying a pass — you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. If you are using LearnYard on behalf of someone else (for example, an employer), you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms for them.

2. What LearnYard is

LearnYard is an online learning platform for programming interview preparation. Depending on your plan, it includes a DSA (data structures and algorithms) course and practice sheet, a system design course, AI-powered practice rooms where you read, code and get feedback, mock interviews conducted by AI — including voice conversation — and progress tracking across all of it. Some features are free; others need a paid pass (section 4).

3. Your account

• Personalized features require signing in with a Google account. Google sign-in is currently the only sign-in method; the email and profile details it provides must be accurate and yours.
• One account per person. Your account is for you alone — do not share access to it or let someone else use it as theirs (section 6).
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If the law where you live sets a higher age for agreeing to terms like these without a parent or guardian, that higher age applies.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us right away if you believe someone else has accessed it.

4. Paid plans and billing

Paid access to the DSA course is sold as one-time passes for a fixed duration — 3, 6, or 12 months. These are not subscriptions: a pass never renews or charges you again by itself. When it ends, paid access ends unless you choose to buy another pass.

• Every pass includes the full DSA curriculum plus monthly allowances that reset each month of your term — currently 3,600 voice-tutor minutes, 12 mock-interview loops, and 20 coach reports per month. Allowances are finite and do not roll over.
• Voice-minute top-ups (currently a 1,200-minute pack) can be bought alongside an active pass. Top-up minutes expire 90 days after purchase and are only usable while you hold an active pass.
• Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our payment processor, via a payment gateway operated by our partner. We never see or store your card details. The price you are shown at checkout is the price you pay; prices displayed elsewhere on the site are informational and may lag the checkout price.
• Prices, allowances, and available passes may change over time. Changes never affect a pass you have already bought — they apply to future purchases only.

5. Refunds

If something went wrong with your purchase, write to support@learnyard.com and we will look at it case by case. Our Refund Policy explains how to ask and what we consider. We are still finalizing a detailed policy; until it is published, refund requests are handled individually and nothing in this section limits any refund rights you have under applicable law.

6. Acceptable use

LearnYard exists to help you learn. Use it that way. You agree not to:

• Copy, scrape, download in bulk, republish, resell, or otherwise redistribute course content, problems, readings, or solutions — whether by hand or with automated tools.
• Share your account or paid access with others, or pool one pass across several people.
• Abuse the AI features — for example, attempting to extract the underlying model prompts or system instructions, using automated scripts to drive practice rooms or interviews, or deliberately generating content unrelated to learning.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or probe the platform, interfere with its operation, or circumvent usage limits, paywalls, or security measures.
• Use the service for anything unlawful, or upload content that is malicious, infringing, or harmful to others.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules (section 9).

7. AI features and their limits

Much of LearnYard is powered by AI: generated readings, coding feedback, interview questions and evaluations, voice tutoring, and coach reports. AI-generated content can be wrong, incomplete, or misleading, and you should treat it accordingly.

• AI output is provided for learning and practice purposes only. It is not professional, career, or legal advice.
• An AI interview evaluation is a practice signal, not a credential. We make no guarantee that using LearnYard will lead to passing any real interview or getting any job.
• Verify important claims independently — especially code you intend to reuse and factual statements in generated readings.

8. Intellectual property

The LearnYard platform and its content — courses, problems, readings, designs, software, and branding — belong to LearnYard or its licensors. Your pass gives you a personal, non-transferable license to access that content for your own learning while your access lasts; it does not transfer ownership of anything to you.

You keep the rights to the code and answers you write in practice rooms and interviews. By submitting them, you grant LearnYard a license to store, process, and analyze that work as needed to provide the service — running your code, generating feedback and evaluations, and tracking your progress. How we handle the personal data involved is described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to the service, and termination

LearnYard evolves: we add, change, and occasionally remove features, and we cannot promise the service will always be available or uninterrupted. If we make a change that materially reduces what an active paid pass includes, we will try to notify you and treat it fairly (see section 5 on refunds).

You can stop using LearnYard at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms — particularly section 6 — or where we must do so for legal or security reasons. Where practical, we will warn you first.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

LearnYard is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of content (AI-generated or otherwise), and non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, LearnYard is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including lost profits, lost opportunities (such as interview or job outcomes), or lost data — arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or ₹2,000. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India. If you live somewhere whose consumer-protection law gives you rights that cannot be waived by contract, those rights are unaffected.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we will make reasonable efforts to notify you — for example by email or a notice in the app — before they take effect. Continuing to use LearnYard after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
