Refund Policy

EFFECTIVE AUGUST 25, 2026 · LAST UPDATED AUGUST 25, 2026

Every LearnYard purchase is a one-time payment — a course pass for a fixed number of months, or a voice-minutes top-up. Nothing renews by itself, so there is no subscription to cancel. This page explains how to ask for a refund and what happens when you do. We are still finalizing a detailed policy; until it is published here, every request is reviewed individually, and nothing on this page limits any refund rights you have under applicable law.

1. How to ask for a refund

Write to support@learnyard.com from the Google account email you signed in with, and tell us:

  • which pass or top-up you bought, and roughly when;
  • what went wrong, in your own words;
  • anything that helps us find the purchase quickly — a payment receipt or the email Dodo Payments sent you.

A person reads every request. You will hear back within a few working days with a decision or a question.

2. What we look at

Because there is no fixed policy yet, we decide case by case. As honest guidance about how those decisions tend to go:

  • Something on our side broke. You paid and the pass never activated, you were charged twice, or a paid feature was unavailable for a meaningful stretch of your pass. These are the clearest cases — expect us to make it right.
  • You bought the wrong thing. Wrong plan length, or an accidental purchase you tell us about promptly, before making real use of it. We are sympathetic to these.
  • Heavily used purchases. Voice minutes, interview loops, and coach reports are consumed as you use them. A refund request for a pass whose allowances have been substantially used may be reduced or declined for the used portion.
  • Change of mind. We would rather you were sure before buying — the free tier exists so you can try the product first. Ask anyway; asking costs nothing.

3. Voice top-ups

Voice-minute top-ups expire 90 days after purchase and require an active pass to use. An expired or fully consumed top-up is generally not refundable; an unused one bought by mistake is treated like any other accidental purchase — tell us promptly.

4. How the money comes back

Approved refunds go back to the payment method you paid with, through our payment processor, Dodo Payments. Once we approve a refund, how long it takes to appear depends on the processor and your bank — typically 5–10 working days. We refund what you paid; we cannot control currency-conversion or bank fees charged by your card issuer.

Access tied to a refunded purchase ends when the refund is approved.

5. Your statutory rights

Consumer-protection law where you live may give you refund rights beyond anything written here. Nothing on this page takes those away.
